Sakeenah (Sah*Key*Nuh) - An Arabic name for women that means “tranquility”, “serenity”, “lack of fear and worry”, “dignity and honor”.

Sakeenah Bath and Body is an apothecary company founded in 2017 by Siera Daniels. Working in corporate America as a hospitality sales manager, Siera realized that every year during her busiest season she would find herself burned out, and stretched entirely too thin. Noticing that after particularly stressful days that the only cure was a glass of Cabernet and a bath bomb infused soak in the tub, and also considering herself somewhat of an “Urban Hippie”,she took to her kitchen to “mix” up a few bath soaks that would not only give her the relaxing vibe that she was seeking, but would also nourish her skin without any mysterious chemical ingredients. After receiving rave reviews from family and friends, Siera decided to take the leap of faith, and Sakeenah Bath and Body Co. was birthed.

In this age of the #GirlBoss, the hustle and grind narrative is pushed more than ever, and while women are rising to the occasion and getting it done, we are oftentimes forgetting that you can not pour from an empty cup. Our mission is to show that self-care is not selfish, and carving out that elusive “me-time” is an integral part of self-love.
